H.C. ANDERSEN

Hans Christian Andersen was born in Denmark on the 2nd of April 1805.

 

He was born on the island of Funen, in a city called Odense.

​

He died on the 4th of August 1875 in Denmark's capital city of Copenhagen and is buried in Assistens Cemetery.

​

Hans Christian Andersen was a prolific writer of poems, novels, plays and travelogues but is most famous for his fairy tales.

​

These include The Little Mermaid, Thumbelina, The Ugly Duckling and The Princess And The Pea.

​

He actually wrote 168 short stories, which I have started to read, in chronological order, on the Eye See Copenhagen Podcast channel.
